Art as a profession

A unique heritage bringing new perspectives

Hand in hand for success

For over 30 years we have followed our calling; uncovering the best artworks on the international art market. Our work is distinguished by a passion for beauty and a sensibility for particular values and exceptional quality.

Based in the heart of Munich, we have been operating from the ideal location for over two decades. Situated in the exquisite Bayerischer Hof Hotel, we have employed state of the art design and advanced lighting arrangements to perfect our spacious premises. As a result, we now have an ideal exhibition space over two floors that enables the artworks to be viewed in conditions where they can be truly seen and appreciated.

In addition to important artists from Classical Modernism, our gallery program focuses on representatives of German Expressionism, particularly the artist groups „Bridge" and „The Blue Rider". In addition we specialize in Southern German painting. This distinguished blend of artists and works is highly valued by our clients and by art enthusiasts from around the world.

At Galerie Schüller we are experts in the field of Southern German painting. We will support you in an advisory capacity, grounded in our many years of experience, and examine your artworks with care and expertise.

Lona Schüller

Lona Schüller-Stern.

Lona Schüller owns the gallery and takes care of purchasing and sales, personnel, and the gallery’s interior design. She took over the gallery from her parents in 2007 and has led it into modernity.

As a child she attended exhibitions and slept on stacks of rugs. In her teenage years she first helped out around the gallery. You could say she was exposed to art from the time she was a baby. In the midst of her A levels in 1997, she started pitching in at the gallery and has stuck to it with great enthusiasm ever since.

Besides the gallery, she loves art, interior design, nature and raising the next generation.

“Art does not reproduce the visible but makes visible.” (Paul Klee)

Simone Schüller.

Simone Schüller is daughter-in-law, wife and sister-in-law of the Schüller family. She takes care of the gallery’s strategic positioning, personnel, advertising and marketing, finances, contracts and organisational tasks. She, of course, also attends to clients.

After her bank apprenticeship and studying business, she spent many years working at well-known advertising agencies for clients in all sectors. An enthusiastic communication professional, she loves creative work and dealing with it.

Whether art or music, she’s very fond of all things art-related, plays piano, cooks and is an ardent traveller.

If I knew it [what art is], I would keep it for myself." (Pablo Picasso)
